I have a cousin, John, in California. Actually he is my mom's cousin and he knows a lot about my family's genealogy.
Genealogy is something that fascinates me.
My favorite story is about how I discovered that my SU! upline, Tina, is related to me. Tina's husband's grandfather and my great-grandmother were brother & sister. I never would have known about this if it wasn't for scrapbooking.
Another great story I have is that one of my scrapbooking friends, Patrice (who used to be just a customer and now I consider her a friend), lives in the house that my grandmother was born in. If it wasn't for scrapbooking & stamping I would not have known her. I have had the pleasure of spending time in this turn of the century farmhouse on several cold February nights, but inside it was warm & cozy.
My cousin John just posted some family history that I found intriguing. It also has some pictures of my grandma (Winnie), mentions my great-grandma Alice (Tina's husband's great aunt), and has some great pictures of Patrice's house. Here is a link.
I couldn't resist. This is my grandma and her sister and according to John's blog, this picture was taken in the 1940s. I think I might have a copy of this one. I have definelty seen it before. My grandma is the one on the right. She was the greatest. I really need to start scrapbooking some heritage pictures. Hmmm.....
oh cousin Jen- I love it!!!!
