I went through several samples to come up with my final Christmas card this year. I really wanted to use the Stampin' Up! Designer Wrapping Paper, because I thought that would save some stamping time. (I make about 300 cards, so they have to be quick!!!) But I just didn't come up with anything I *loved* so here are all the samples that did NOT make the cut.
This one uses the Celebration Wrapping paper and the Season of Joy stamp set (my favorite from the mini!!) I just thought it was too plain...
So next I came up with this one, which I liked a little better, but it still wasn't "the one".
I tried these options in the Blizzard wrapping paper, too and I didn't like them as much, so I abandoned the wrapping paper idea (and it was such a good one!!).
So here was another option. Actually this was two options; the first one just had the horizontal strip across the card. (I really was stuck on trying to use the card layout from the first card.) It seemed too plain again, so I added the vertical strip, too. This last card uses Snow Flurries (such a great deal at $10.95 for 6 stamps!!) and All Holidays. It also uses my favorite Christmas color combination - Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, and Wild Wasabi. I was getting closer but this wasn't it...
So the card I made after this was the winner. I have already started stamping & stamping & stamping them. And you are going to have to wait until you get yours in the mail to see it!!!! :-)

I like them all...that's all that matters, lol. Happy stamping!

But I won't get one of your cards because I'm but a newbie to all this and nobody knows me. I look forward to you posting it eventually?? I've been peeking at a lot of blogs, plus splitcoast stamping to learn and get ideas. I really have to dig deep for my creativity. I do like your reject cards. I can't imagine having to make 300 cards! I'm scared about the few dozen I want to do. Dottie
